The world of anime is vast and diverse. From the moment you open your eyes to the first light of day, there are new worlds waiting for you to explore. These 15 anime openings are some of the best that have ever been created.

The best anime openings of all time is a list of 15 anime opening songs that are considered some of the best in the genre.

While the shounen genre is renowned for its incredible fight scenes and screaming out the names of characters’ trademark techniques in the midst of battle, there is another element that will entice you to watch.

The opening is a work of art in and of itself.

It has the job of drawing you into the program and keeping you there for the remainder of the episode.

Every vacancy in that type of employment has a lot of work to accomplish in a short period of time – about 60-90 seconds.

Some of these songs are fantastic bangers that get you pumped for the action ahead, while others are more melancholy and make you reflect on the characters.

In any case, here are my top choices for the greatest shounen op intros, all of which you should listen to at least once. I’m referring about all of you freaks who, no matter what, skip the intro as soon as it appears.

Hello, World!

Visit YouTube to see it.

Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Anime: Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?

This one has a particular place in my heart.

Danmachi is a program that is all about having a good time.

It has a lot of heart, even if it isn’t the deepest.

The initial opening, which features the core characters and shows off their relationships with one another throughout the play well, seems to me to be a good representation of this heart.

It, like many others on this list, foreshadows many of the season’s key battles, and it’s a huge attraction for me to pick out details and predict what they may signify later on.

And, of course, the graphics are fantastic. It’s not merely a collection of show footage.

It’s certainly worth a look – if only for the amusing graphics.

The Hero is 14!!

One Punch Man Opening Song The Hero!! screenshot

Visit YouTube to see it.

One Punch Man is a Japanese anime series.

One Punch Man is a very stunning animated series featuring a lot of visual spectacles.

So it’s no surprise that the film’s first act delivers exactly what you’d anticipate.

The Hero goes all out. And I don’t mean as hard as Saitama’s Serious Punch.

It combines strong metal instrumentals with lyrics that irritate my throat just thinking about them.

We got a few glimpses of the different adversaries that Saitama may face, including the various tiered threats from the heroes organization.

This intro perfectly encapsulates what you’re getting yourself into with OPM. High-octane action, gorgeous animation, and a slew of visual jokes, like as lightning hitting Saitama’s bald head, make for a thrilling experience.

13. Retaliate

Fairy Tail Opening Song Strike Back screenshot

Visit YouTube to see it.

Fairy Tail is a Japanese animated television series.

While I believe that the quality of Fairy Tail varies, I believe that many viewers would agree that one of the constantly greatest portions has to be the openers.

Strike Back is the hardest-hitting of the collection’s outstanding 20+ openers, thus it has stiff competition for the title of best of its own series.

However, with a series of somber graphics to go along with it,

Gurenge is number twelve.

Demon Slayer Opening Song Gurenge screenshot

Visit YouTube to see it.

Demon Slayer is a Japanese anime series.

Demon Slayer as a series may already be described as beginning with extremely gentle lyrics and rapidly escalating into rocking instrumentals.

Of course, the graphics are fantastic, providing Tanjiro and the rest of the cast a fantastic platform to showcase their talents. This contains allusions to several key characters who don’t appear until later in the program.

It puts you in a good mood to see some monsters get slayed…

Isn’t it almost as though that was the intention?

Thesis of the Cruel Angel No. 11

Neon Genesis: Evangelion Opening Song Cruel Angel’s Thesis screenshot

Visit YouTube to see it.

Neon Genesis: Evangelion is a Japanese anime series.

Now, I’ll confess that I was originally a fan of the theme tune.

Until lately, I hadn’t seen Neon Genesis in any of its incarnations.

And it wasn’t until I fully grasped the show’s background that the beginning began to make sense. Then the instrumentals hit me like a ton of bricks.

This scene has been indelibly associated with the film. Some fans may even believe it to be the greatest anime opening ever.

Or, at the very least, it’s unlikely that any anime fan hasn’t heard it at least once.

Neon Genesis is a fascinating series. And, despite the fact that I just recently saw the final film with English subtitles, I can’t help but feel nostalgic about the entire affair.

Odd Future No. 10

My Hero Academia Opening Song Odd Future screenshot

Visit YouTube to see it.

My Hero Academia is an anime series based on the manga My Hero Academia.

My Hero, like Fairy Tail, offers a diverse range of openers from which to choose.

And, although it’s less than Fairy Tail (for now), it didn’t make choosing my favorite any simpler.

Odd Future closes off the anime with what is still the most anticipated battle in the series.

It begins with All Might receiving his abilities from his tutor, just as he would later do for Deku.

Then it’s all downhill from there.

Class 1-A may be seen sprinting toward their training camp. A montage of all of the season’s major characters, both heroes and villains, is presented, followed by a comparison between Deku’s and All Might’s toughest fights.

9. V.I.P

Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic Opening Song V.I.P screenshot

Visit YouTube to see it.

Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic (anime)

Magi is a fantastic adventure shounen series.

And that comes after such a fun trio. Every time I turned on the television to see the new episode, the beginning made me want to go on an adventure!

I like it when openers don’t shy away from showcasing the main cast’s idiosyncrasies rather than simply their “awesome” moments.

It’s also adorable to watch Aladdin eating a watermelon.

To be honest, I’m simply having a good time with this one. And it’s something I could watch and listen to for hours if I put it on repeat.

Punky Funky Love is number eight on the list.

Kuroko no Basuke Opening Song Punky Funky Love screenshot

Visit YouTube to see it.

Kuroko no Basuke is a Japanese anime series.

This begins to fascinate me. Kuroko’s openers are all like this.

The show has such an obvious love of pop music, and it literally always gets me so pumped to watch some wild basketball.

This strong start sets the tone for the last several games of the series.

Seiren vs. Kaij, their very first opponents.

It subtly foreshadows Kaij’s polished trademark move in such a manner that you’d never anticipate it until you saw it in action.

This introduction is energizing and entertaining, and I’m sure some fans will agree.

7. Great Days and the Bloody Stream

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Opening Song Bloody Stream and Great Days screenshot

Visit YouTube to see it.

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is a Japanese anime series.

So I’m going to fudge a little bit here. But I couldn’t help myself since portions 2 and 4 are my favorites so far.

Bloody Stream is a stunning tune – and my personal favorite in terms of the song itself.

And it’s full of passion in response to one of the most memorable anime deaths in my opinion.

Great Days, on the other hand, has the most impressive JoJo change.

For those unfamiliar with how many JoJo openers operate, the opening changes around the last episode or a few of episodes.

Great Days’ inversion of the whole song is such a brilliant technique of turning everything on its head.

But let’s be honest:

Any Jojo themes should not be skipped.

Guren no Yumiya is number six.

Attack on Titan Opening Song Guren no Yumiya screenshot

Visit YouTube to see it.

Attack on Titan is a Japanese anime series.

What a time it was to be alive when the first season of Attack on Titan aired.

It was a feeling that shook the whole globe.

Everyone, even the opening, couldn’t stop talking about it.

This is one of those shounen openers that people remember being angry about when it was changed mid-season to something different, just because it was so memorable.

And I’m inclined to agree, since this introduction is filled with hype from beginning to finish.

It depicts the anguish of those who have lost something to the titans and portrays them as a frightening danger.

It’s no surprise that the program was so popular since it understood how to get viewers excited from the first minute of each episode.

5. Allow Me To Hear

Parasyte Opening Song Let Me Hear screenshot

Visit YouTube to see it.

Parasyte is a Japanese anime series.

The introduction of Parasyte makes use of a synthetic and auto-tuned voice to lead into a metal drop at the start of the song, and it works well.

The auto-tune is intended to make the words seem strangely foreign, and the metal voices are used to emphasize the severity of the violence on display in this performance.

And this opening effectively depicts the main character’s transformation without revealing how he gets to where he is at the conclusion… However, he is obviously demonstrating that he has changed.

This beginning has a haunting quality about it that I really like. And I believe that many of its major frames linger in your mind long after you’ve watched it, making it seem so powerful.

4. Again

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood Opening Song Again screenshot

Visit YouTube to see it.

Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is a Japanese anime series.

This one comes with a lot of emotional baggage.

This particular FMA opener is relentless in its pulling at your emotions. Especially if you’ve watched the show before and are viewing it again.

This theme tune perfectly encapsulates Edward and Alphonse’s adventure.

This OP is the show packed into one song, from predicting deaths that occur well beyond the opening’s lifetime to introducing us to the bulk of the characters right away.

It’s difficult to go into this one without giving too much away about the series…

So please, watch the show, listen to the music, and repeat for a few years till you’ve seen it as often as I have.

3. Tank!

Cowboy Bebop Opening Song Tank! screenshot

Visit YouTube to see it.

Cowboy Bebop is a Japanese anime series.

While Cowboy Bebop is a Seinen film, I believe it still belongs on this list. Not include this jazzy gem would be such an injustice.

Tank! features some stunning comic-like graphics that are so flawlessly drawn and suit each of the characters, it looks like something right out of a heist movie.

But, given how much of a classic Cowboy Bebop is as a program, I’d be shocked if this premiere isn’t fantastic.

2. Fight as a team

One Piece Opening Song Fight Together screenshot

Visit YouTube to see it.

One Piece is a popular anime series.

Fight Together is an emotional rollercoaster that re-caps one of the show’s most tragic storylines.

It also acts as the show’s last opener before the legendary timeskip begins.

The words of this song make you feel like someone is rubbing your shoulder while weeping, making full advantage of the emotionally charged moments that the performance has just blasted you with.

It assures you that you are never alone, and that the friends you’ve acquired throughout your life will be there for you when you need them most.

I don’t know what more to say except that this beginning is therapeutic in the most wonderful manner.

1. 99

Mob Psycho 100 Opening Song 99 screenshot

Visit YouTube to see it.

Mob Psycho 100 is a Japanese anime series.

I’m not sure where to begin with this one.

First and foremost, it’s incredible. Under no circumstances is there to be any skippy. I’ll track you down.

Because it was created by the same guy who created One Punch Man, Mob Psycho has a great theme tune.

It was difficult to choose between this and 99.9 since they’re both incredible.

I would have done it here if I hadn’t already doubled up with the JoJo openings.

The graphics of Mob Psycho are highly fluid, bizarre, and intense. The words build up to the show’s title 100 percent, at which point Mob becomes off the charts strong.

There’s a lot going on in every frame in the opening, stimulating the senses and providing all the theory crafting an analyst could possibly want.

On that topic, check out Mob Psycho 100!
