Microsoft has officially announced that 343 Industries’ next Halo game, Halo Infinite, will be published on December 8, 2021, for Xbox platforms and Windows PCs, confirming previous rumors. However, it isn’t the only thing Halo fans can anticipate in the coming months.
The release of Halo Infinite will be accompanied by a range of new gear that fans may buy to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the legendary shooter series. (On November 15, 2001, the first Halo game, Halo: Combat Evolved, was launched for the original Xbox.)
The Xbox Series X – Halo Infinite Limited Edition bundle is the highlight of the new Halo-themed hardware collection. The package includes a stunning, custom-designed version of Microsoft’s flagship console, which has dark metallic paneling with iridium gold accents and the same star pattern as Installation 07. This is the area where Halo Infinite takes place, also known as Zeta Halo. (The package includes a digital copy of the game.)
With its top vent highlighted in Cortana-themed blue and unique Halo-themed noises when the console turns on and off, this limited-edition console should bring a grin to Halo aficionados. The package also includes a controller with a similar design on the front, an iridium gold 20-year mark on the back, and side and back grips for better handling.
Beginning November 15, 2021, Microsoft’s Xbox Series X – Halo Infinite Limited Edition combo will be available for $549.99.
The Halo Infinite Limited Edition Elite Series 2 controller is available to Halo enthusiasts who currently possess an Xbox Series X. This is a limited-edition version of Microsoft’s premium controller with a unique design inspired by everyone’s favorite Spartan, the Master Chief. The controller has an iridium gold D-pad and is coated in a battle-worn, matte metallic green pattern. It also comes with swappable components and a unique carrying case with the UNSC emblem, much like the regular version.
Beginning November 15, 2021, the Halo Infinite Limited Edition Elite Series 2 controller will be available for $199.99.
With Razer’s Halo Infinite Edition Razer Kaira Pro Xbox headset and Seagate’s Halo Infinite Special Edition Seagate Game Drive for Xbox, Halo aficionados can complete their Halo Infinite gear collection. This October, the latter will be available in capacities of 2 TB ($99.99) and 5 TB ($159.99).
Halo Infinite supports up to 4K and 60 frames per second on Xbox Series X|S, and Multiplayer Arena supports up to 120 frames per second, sophisticated 3D Spatial Sound, and more. And, because to new features like Quick Resume, Auto HDR, and framerate boosting, the whole Halo game library improves on next-gen.
